Micromax-owned YU is about to launch another mid-range Android smartphone in India. The name of the phone hasn't been disclosed yet and the leaked information doesn't contain any details on the marketing name of the handset.

However, we do know that the phone's model number is YU6000 since it now appears at GFXBench. Some of the phone's specs have been revealed as well, though we can't be sure of anything that's been listed in the benchmark's database.

Since the previous YU Yuphoria smartphone is also known as YU5010, there's a high chance that the YU6000 might be an enhanced version of the standard model, but it could very well be a completely new phone.

We won't know for sure until YU unveils the smartphone, which might not happen for at least a couple of weeks from now since the YU6000 is not being tested internally.

Moving on to specs, YU6000 is confirmed to pack a 1.5GHz octa-core MediTek MT6795 processor, a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

It will probably be unveiled next year

The previous model comes equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, so the YU6000 is quite an improvement over the current model.

Furthermore, the smartphone is listed at GFXBench with 16GB of storage inside, but there's no mention of microSD card slot.

At the back, YU6000 features a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, which is another enhancement over the previous model that packs an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera.

According to the listing, the new YU Yuphoria YU6000 sports a 4.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. We hope this is a mistake and the smartphone will pack a 5-inch display instead.

Last but not least, the YU6000 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, but it's unclear whether or not Micromax will launch it with Cyanogen OS onboard.
