14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese company Meizu plans to launch yet another affordable Android smartphone, the M3 Note. We’re not sure whether or not this will be bad for business, but Meizu M3 Note is expected to be officially unveiled on April 6, the same day Huawei plans to introduce its P9 flagship smartphone.
Still, what matters is that these smartphones target different segments of the market. While Huawei P9 will be aimed at top-tier market, Meizu M3 Note should be very popular in the affordable segment.
According to Chinese blog Blog of Mobile, the upcoming Meizu M3 Note will be available for around 800 yuan outright, which is about $125. The more expensive 32GB model will cost 1,000 yuan ($155).
Specs-wise, Meizu M3 Note looks like a decent mid-range smartphone, even though it costs less than $150. For example, the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.
Also, Meizu M3 Note should come equipped with a powerful 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, coupled with a Mali-T860MP2 graphics processing unit, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. As mentioned earlier, a 32GB variant will be announced next month too.
Another strong point of the M3 Note could be the 3,200 mAh battery that’s rumored to power the mid-range Android smartphone.
Unfortunately, it’s unclear whether or not Meizu M3 Note will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system onboard.
Four new Android smartphones will be launched in the coming months
In other news, along with the information about M3 Note’s release on April 6, a few more Meizu smartphones have been leaked online.
For example, Meizu is expected to launch another affordable smartphone in the coming months, the M3. Also, the MX6 mini will be Meizu’s first compact-sized smartphone ever launched on the market.
The company’s flagship smartphone, Meizu Pro 6 will come along Pro 6 Mini, the miniaturized version of the high-end device.
