14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese consumer electronics company, Meizu is preparing to launch a new smartphone on the market, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal 2, which was recently spotted at TENAA, according to MyDrivers. The Chinese telecommunications certification center disclosed some information on the upcoming smartphone’s specs.
The Meizu Blue Charm Metal 2 should come with a Helio P10 chip, an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, as well as 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone will also have a secondary variant that comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
The upcoming smartphone should have a 13MP camera with dual-LED flash at the back, together with a 5MP selfie snapper at the front. It should also have a powerful 4,000mAh battery.
The Meizu Blue Charm Metal 2 will come with a 5.5-inch display and 1080p resolution. The smartphone will run Android Lollipop 5.1, which is quite surprising considering that Google is expected to launch the Android N 7.0 this summer, while the Marshmallow 6.0.1 version has been around for quite some time.
Nevertheless, the smartphone will have an all-metal body, as the images reveal. Pictures also show that the phone won’t be coming with a fingerprint scanner at the back, so it’s highly likely that Meizu incorporated the scanner inside the home button.
It’s the successor of last year’s Meizu Blue Charm Metal
The smartphone seems to be the successor of Meizu Blue Charm Metal, which was launched late last year. It’s a mid-range Android smartphone with decent specs. Meizu Blue Charm Metal came with the same display size and resolution, coupled with protective Dinorex T2X-1 glass with 2.5D effect on the screen.
Camera specifications were roughly the same as for the successor, but its battery capacity reached 3,140 mAh. The original Meizu Blue Charm Metal came equipped with MediaTek's Helio X10 chipset that packs an octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz.
Since Meizu Blue Charm Metal 2 has just passed TENAA, it won’t be long until new information is revealed and the smartphone is finally launched.
