LG has just announced the upcoming availability of its mid-range Android smartphone, the Spirit 4G, in India. The handset has already been released in many countries worldwide, but it's making its debut in India today.

LG Spirit 4G will be available in India exclusively via Reliance Retail stores across the country for Rs 11,900 ($180 / €165) outright, a new report confirms. Customers will be able to choose between Gold and Black color versions.

As mentioned earlier, LG Spirit 4G is a mid-range smartphone that ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

However, we shouldn't rule out a Marshmallow upgrade in the coming months, especially that LG has recently updated the G Stylo in the United States.

As the name suggests, the smartphone comes with 4G support, but also provide users with another feature called VoLTE (voice over LTE), which is pretty rare in India.

It seems a bit overpriced for what it has to offer

LG Spirit 4G sports a decent 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Hardware-wise, the Spirit 4G comes equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs only 8GB of internal memory, but users can expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

At the back, LG Spirit 4G features an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording while in the front there's a modest 1-megapixel for video calls and selfies.

The Spirit 4G packs several connectivity options aside from 4G LTE, such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with AGPS support and microUSB 2.0.

Last but not least, LG's mid-range Android smartphone is powered by a 2,100 mAh removable battery that should provide up to 22 days of standby time.
