The flagship is likely to be picked by multiple carriers

The G6 is going to be the main star of LG's MWC 2017 event already scheduled for February 26, that much we already know. However, no information about the phone's availability leaked until recently.

According to Evan Blass, LG plans to launch the G6 in South Korea on March 9, which is quite fast considering the phone will be unveiled less than weeks ahead of that date.

Unfortunately, customers in the United States (and probably other countries too) won't be able to get it until a month later. LG G6 won't arrive in the country until April 7, though pre-orders might start slightly earlier.

There's no mention of prices yet, but we can safely assume the flagship will be sold through all major carriers across the country.

The good news is that, even if the LG G6 doesn't hit the shelves in the U.S. until April 7, it will still be available for purchase ahead of Samsung's Galaxy S8, which is supposed to be launched on the market on April 21.

The main selling point of the G6 is the new “Full Vision” display that has been confirmed to feature a 2,880 x 1,440 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

Although it won't pack Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 835 processor, LG has announced that its G6 will come equipped with a heat pipe meant to prevent overheating of the Snapdragon 821 CPU that's supposed to power the flagship.

We've also learned that LG has decided to include Google's Assistant inside the G6, which comes along the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Unlike the G5, the upcoming flagship will feature a compact form factor with waterproof design and non-removable battery.

Even though the rest of the phone's specs will be officially unveiled on February 26, we expect a couple of more details to emerge online ahead of the announcement, so stay tuned.
