The next big thing coming from LG, the G5, will be officially unveiled on February 21. The South Korean company is ready to challenge Samsung at the high-end tier, which is one of the reasons it chose to announce its flagship on the same day the Galaxy S7 will be revealed.

LG has been teasing a few details about its upcoming flagship smartphone like the fact that it will come with an Always-On display, but other than that there's no telling what surprises hide under its chassis.

Well, it looks like Geekbench 3's database is here to help us learn more about the LG G5. Benchmark results belonging to a smartphone with model number LG-F700S have been uploaded on February 10, so the information is quite fresh.

According to the listing at Geekbench, the LG-F700S, which is the code number of the LG G5, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is onboard as well

It's no news that the Snapdragon 820 chipset will be packed inside the LG G5, but previous rumors claimed the smartphone would include just 3GB of RAM, which would have been quite deadly for LG in its attempt to compete with Samsung's Galaxy S7.

Fortunately, LG fans should rest easy as the G5 does seem to include 4GB of RAM. Moreover, the smartphone will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.

Rumor has it the LG G5 will feature a dual-camera setup on the back, as well as a fingerprint sensor located just below the main camera.

LG also announced earlier today that it would launch a special, touch-enabled Quick Cover case for the G5, which would be showcased later this month at Mobile World Congress along with the flagship smartphone.
