LG officially announced last month that the G4 would be its first smartphone to receive the highly anticipated Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

True to its promise, LG started the rollout of Marshmallow to G4 devices in late October, but the update was only available in Poland, as initially confirmed by the South Korean company.

Today, Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has started to hit more LG G4 handsets in Europe. According to a thread on Reddit, LG is now delivering the upgrade in European countries, but it's only available via LG Bridge, the company's PC companion software.

The update has only been confirmed for unlocked LG G4 devices, so customers with carrier-branded smartphones will have to wait slightly longer for the update.

There's also a list of countries where the update might be available via LG Bridge: Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

LG has yet to confirm the update

Obviously, since there's no official confirmation yet, we recommend our readers to take this list with a grain of salt. Also, if you're located in a country other than those mentioned earlier and have received the update, please let us know in the comments section.

Keep in mind that this is quite a large download, as LG G4 owners report the update should have around 1.55GB in size, so make sure you have enough storage space.

Besides the usual changes included in Android 6.0 Marshmallow, LG also adds its own tweaks and improvements, which have already been detailed on the company's official website.

For example, the Knock Code feature will be updated to offer a better experience for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Qmemo+ in the notification panel has been renamed to Capture+, but the application kept the rest of the features.

The LG UX will be upgraded as well, so expect many improvements to be implemented in the user interface, such as changes to auto-brightness, peeking feature, additional memory settings, and many more.
