The update is only available via LG Bridge at the moment

LG kicked off the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the G4 several weeks ago, but the update was only available in Europe and a few other regions.

The good news is that beginning today T-Mobile LG G4 owners will be able to upgrade their smartphones to Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well.

While the South Korean company hasn't yet pushed the OTA (over-the-air), if you own a T-Mobile LG G4, you can try to download the update via PC using LG Bridge software.

If the update doesn't show for you yet, you can try again later since LG's servers might be pounded with requests for Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Also, since the update has been made available via LG Bridge, the OTA shouldn't be far off, so you might want to wait for that if your finger is tired of clicking the “Check” button.

Neither LG nor T-Mobile confirmed the availability of the update, but since it shows up for many G4 owners as suggested by a Reddit thread, Marshmallow should be a go for LG G4 smartphones at T-Mobile.

AT&T and Verizon have yet to release the update

T-Mobile is the third US carrier that provides LG G4 owners with Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates. Sprint pushed the same upgrade to LG G4 devices more than month ago while US Cellular customers got it back in January.

Now it's only AT&T and Verizon that have yet to release the update to LG G4 owners. Neither of the two offered any information as to when exactly Android 6.0 Marshmallow might arrive on the LG G4, but we suspect it won't be long until the upgrade gets released.

If you own a T-Mobile LG G4 and get an error message after the upgrade is complete, you must do a factory reset to fix it. Have you captured the update yet? Let us know in the comments section if your smartphone feels faster and smoother now.
