Chinese company Lenovo recently launched its mid-range Android phablet, the K4 Note. The smartphone has been introduced in the India and will soon go on sale, but that might not be the only phablet released by Lenovo in Q1 2016.

A new smartphone with model number K52e78 has just been certified at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, with specs that suggest this might be another “K Note” series phablet.

Although some of the specs have been confirmed by the listing at TENAA, the Lenovo K52e78 has been spotted at Geekbench with slightly different specs, which indicates the Chinese company might release two K5 Note versions.

First of all, Lenovo K5 Note comes with a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, just like the recently announced K4 Note.

However, the upcoming phablet is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6755M Helio P10 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

It could be another version of Lenovo K4 Note

That's quite surprising since the current Lenovo K4 Note packs 3GB RAM and 16GB storage, so the upcoming K5 Note wouldn't be an upgrade over the previous model.

Still, as mentioned earlier, the K5 Note has been spotted at Geekbench as well, and the smartphone is confirmed to pack 3GB of RAM. Basically, Lenovo could release two K5 Note variants based on the amount of memory.

At the back, Lenovo K5 Note features a 13-megapixel camera and a fingerprint sensor while in the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

There's no word on battery, but TENAA confirms the phablet comes with features like 4G LTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with AGPS.

Keep in mind that this may very well be another version of the Lenovo K4 Note, with different design and processor inside.
