It will go on sale in India on January 20 for $180 outright

As expected, Chinese company Lenovo unveiled the sequel to one of its most popular Android phablets, the K3 Note. The new smartphone is called K4 Note and will start selling in India at the end of this month.

Lenovo has chosen the method of flash sales to allow customers to purchase the K4 Note, but keep in mind that it will only be available via Amazon India.

Potential customers will be able to pick this one up for only Rs 11,999, which is about $180 or €165. That's a great price considering the phone's confirmed specs.

It's also worth mentioning that Lenovo K4 Note comes equipped with Theatre Max widescreen cinematic experience powered by the company's VR technology.

The VR Glass will be bundled in the package along with the Lenovo K4 Note, but it will cost Rs 12,499 ($185 / €175) off contract. The package will be available from January 19 at Amazon India.

Lenovo will also sell the VR Glass separately for Rs 1,299 ($20 / €18) beginning January 19 through the same Indian retailer.

Excellent camera, exceptional audio technology

Moving on to specs, Lenovo K4 Note sports a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Hardware-wise, the phablet comes equipped with a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

At the back, the K4 Note packs a 13-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash and video recording while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies.

Lenovo K4 Note features 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as a fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, and dual front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wolfson Pro Audio, 3 mic system.

Last but not least, Lenovo's affordable phablet is powered by a 3,400 mAh battery and ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and Vibe UI on top.
