14 DAY TRIAL // Apple’s new iPhone trio will include a larger 6.5-inch model that could be launched as iPhone Xs Max and serve as the top-of-the-range configuration.
In essence a Plus-sized iPhone X, the Xs Max will feature an edge-to-edge design with a notch at the top, a vertically-mounted dual-camera on the back, and all the goodies that will be available on the 5.8-inch sibling as well.
And while it’s believed that the iPhone Xs Max will have nearly the same dimensions as the iPhone 8 Plus, mostly thanks to this modern design with smaller bezels, the difference, when compared to the other models in the 2018 lineup, will still be substantial.
iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus
A couple of cases discovered by a redditor at Walmart and presumably created for the 6.1-inch iPhone and the iPhone Xs Max show how big the device is going to be, also confirming (if confirmation was still needed after so many leaks) that that a dual-camera system will indeed be used.
The cases look enormous, but of course, it all depends on their manufacturers as well, though there’s a good chance you’re going to need bigger pockets to carry the new iPhone Xs Max. However, if you’re OK with the iPhone 8 Plus, you should be quite alright with this overhauled Plus model too.
Apple, however, expects that 6.1-inch LCD iPhone to be the most successful in its lineup, and this is one reason the company launches it a month later.
This should give the more premium versions exclusive time on the market, as Apple is afraid that this more affordable configuration could cannibalize its siblings. While this could indeed happen, recent leaks have shown that the price difference may not be so substantial, as analysts believe that the cheaper model could be sold for no less than $799, bringing it pretty close to the new iPhone X.
