The development team at Riot Games is announcing that it is delivering a new major patch for League of Legends, labeled 6.2, which is the final major update that the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena experience is getting before the start of the season.

The company explains that the studio is happy with the diversity that it sees in competitive games, although developers are still tracking some heroes and their performance.

Gamers who want to see all the changes that are being made to the characters of League of Legends and the various associated items and powers can take a look through the extensive announcement on the official site.

Riot Games states, "The wall collision changes are pretty important but self-explanatory, so go read the note. On the point of ward debris: we still firmly believe that there needs to be some way to learn one of the most critical (and often game-winning) systems in League of Legends, so shiny little ghost-wards is where we're at. Clarity."

Riot Games also reveals that it has tweaked the new champion selection system for League of Legends in patch 6.2 and that general matchmaking balance should be improved, with five-man groups matches against similar setups 98 percent of the time.

New skins are also being added to the MOBA and gamers can take part in the 2016 Lunar Revel for some added fun, with the official shop linked to it open until February 8, with extra content being added after the delivery of patch 6.2.

Players are already offering ideas about the kind of changes that they would like to see in a future patch for the game.

League of Legends will continue to get new champions and tweaks

Riot Games is also offering details about the development process for their most recent champion, Jhin, explaining that it started by exploring the idea of a mysterious robot cowboy bounty hunting sniper.

The studio states that it abandoned elements associated with the initial design to make sure that the gameplay linked to him would not overlap with other characters and that it offered a new experience to long-time fans.

It seems that the community is interested in looking at Jhin without his mask on, and Riot Games says that it is also planning a Question and Answer sessions with the developers who have done the heavy lifting when creating the character.

The fans are also offering ideas about future skins that Riot Games can create for the champion in the coming months.

League of Legends remains the most popular MOBA and the development team working on it has announced extensive plans for updates for the 2016 season.

The match engine will be improved and there are plans to also make sure that matchmaking offers interesting games regardless of the skill of the involved player or the group he is part of.

Riot Games is also working to improve the way players behave in the MOBA and to make sure that the community is as welcoming as possible to those who are only now discovering League of Legends.
