Video game developer Riot Games is announcing that the most recent champion to be added to League of Legends is named Jhin and nicknamed The Virtuoso, a marksman who is capable of taking out enemies from range.

The official page for the new hero explains that his passive is called Whisper and represents his gun, able to fire four shots, with the last of them always dealing critical damage and delivering something extra based on the amount of missing health for the target.

Riot Games adds that itemization will be important for Jhin because he can earn attack power from crit change and increased speed coming from runs and equipment while crits also give him extra movement based on his attack speed.

The new champion will be able to take out enemies using Dancing Grenade, which can be thrown at an enemy and will bounce to another four, Deadly Flourish, a long range shot that targets both critters and enemy heroes, Captive Audience, a trap that slows down opponents and then deals damage, and Curtain Call, which reveals marked enemies and can deal massive damage.

Riot Games states, "He’s meticulous and calculating - League’s slowest marksman yet. But when the murderous artist gets you in his sights, when he catches you off-guard, there’s not much that’ll save you from an inevitable, perfect death."

The development team suggests that gameplay for Jhin will be centered around his fourth bullet and around the player's ability to find ways to plan for enemy moves and anticipate their strategies.

Dedicated League of Legends players can also find information on who the new hero works best with and what enemies can cause problems, allowing gamers to plan for coming matches.

Riot Games is also saying that it has plans to offer more information on the backstory for Jhin and how he was created in the coming weeks.

League of Legends has big plans for 2016

The development team says that it wants to introduce a set of extensive changes for the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena experience during the course of the year, with a new client that allows the studio to implement changes faster and to introduce more content.

League of Legends will also become more social as players can create dedicated groups to better organize themselves and communicate before and after matches.

Champion selection will also be tweaked to make it easier for teams to get the heroes that they are most used to playing, and there are also planned changes that will enhance the level of teamwork that can be achieved during battle.

Riot Games says that all the new features will first be tested by high-level players and will only then be implemented for the entire community.

League of Legends is at the moment the biggest MOBA in the world, but the game needs to constantly improve the gameplay experience and to add new champions to make sure that it remains more popular than DOTA 2 from Valve and Heroes of the Storm from Blizzard.
