14 DAY TRIAL // One of the biggest storylines on the latest season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the Kardashian-Jenners’ E! reality show, revolved around Kim’s dissatisfaction with and disapproval of Khloe’s renewed relationship with estranged husband Lamar Odom.
So when Kim was among those who visited him in hospital in Las Vegas last week, when he was still in a coma following a near-fatal drug overdose, it was widely assumed that she had put her negative feelings aside. She did, but only because she assumed he would never wake up, Radar Online writes, citing sources close to the reality star.
Kim wants Khloe to dump her husband
The other day, word got out that Khloe and Lamar jointly asked the judge handling their divorce case (she filed the papers in December 2013, but it was still to go through) to throw it out because they had decided to give their marriage another try.
This very close brush with death had made it clear for Lamar that he had a serious drug problem and he had promised he would get clean and work very hard to make the best recovery possible. Khloe believed him and agreed to stay married to him because, it was said, she had never stopped loving him.
The entire family is said to be supportive of her, with the exception of Kim, who is already making sure she gets a piece of her mind.
“Now that Lamar is going to be okay, Kim is back to her prior stance on the situation. Kim is telling people she really feels that Khloe needs to let him go!” says a spy. “She is telling people she thinks that the fact that Khloe is giving up her entire life for him again is absolutely ridiculous.”
She’s not completely cold-hearted, though: Kim is also telling friends that she knows that there is a lot of love between Khloe and Lamar, but she thinks their relationship is simply too toxic for Khloe to give it another go.
Calling off the divorce could be a technicality
As Lamar’s wife, Khloe is in charge of making medical decisions for him, which she did when he was still in a coma. She is also the one who suggested he be moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, because she could get more and better specialists there to handle his case.
The divorce failed to go through because of a backlog in the LA family court, but it would have become final in 2 or 3 months, meaning right in the middle of Lamar’s recovery, assuming everything goes well.
In other words, there is a chance that she only called it off so she can oversee his care and his recovery, and not necessarily because she wants to give the marriage a second try.
