In a completely expected move, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have called off their divorce. They were married in 2009, after 30 days of knowing each other, and she filed the divorce papers in 2013.

At the time he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel last week and rushed to the hospital in a coma from a drug overdose, the divorce was yet to go through. Now, it never will, TMZ confirms.

Khloe and Lamar agree to work it out

The marriage hit a critical point because Lamar’s drug problem, which he refused to acknowledge even though Khloe had shown herself very supportive of him. Reports claim that, at the time she filed the papers, she had already tried everything in her power to get him to rehab because she feared the worst where he was concerned.

She wasn’t entirely wrong, as last week’s events prove: after almost 2 years of even more heavy drug use, Lamar finally hit rock bottom in a 5-day binge that nearly cost him his life. He woke from the coma after several days, but his kidneys are still failing and there is a very strong chance he will be left with some kind of permanent damage.

Best case scenario, he is in for many months of therapy and counseling, and Khloe informed him she would be there for him. As it turns out, she also wants to give their marriage a second try.

“Khloe's lawyer Laura Wasser went before a judge Wednesday morning, asking a judge to withdraw the papers they both signed to end their marriage. The file was sitting in a pile waiting to be processed and signed by a judge,” TMZ says. “A few days ago they both agreed to give their marriage another chance. They both signed the document Wasser presented to the judge, asking that the divorce case be dismissed.”

The divorce case is now “dead,” as the judge signed off on the petition.

Expect everything to play out on reality television

The Kardashians don’t do anything without documenting it on camera for their reality show, the E!-produced Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Even during Lamar’s crisis, despite their public statement that they would not be talking to the media and / or posting any more content on their apps / blogs, they continued to feed stories to the e-zines, including TMZ, E! and People.

This explains why all the details about Lamar’s condition and his future struggle are so well known.

In this context, it would probably not be that far-fetched to expect Lamar to return to reality television, even though he always blamed the show for his descent into addiction and the end of his marriage.

Neither would it be impossible to imagine that some of all this, the health crisis, the reconciliation, the days after, could be included on the family’s reality show, even if only indirectly.
