The development team at Ubisoft has long-term plans for Assassin's Creed Syndicate and the first big piece of major downloadable content for the open world title is set to arrive in less than one week, with gamers able to move through the streets of London to take down the notorious Jack the Ripper.

On December 15, gamers will be able to download the DLC on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, with Evie Frye becoming the main character as she seeks to find out who this notorious killer is, 20 years after the events of the main single-player campaign.

Ubisoft says that gamers will be able to access new skills to investigate the crimes that are taking place and to then find out the identity of the criminal who leaves behind such gruesome sights.

The Jack the Ripper DLC will be offered for 14.99 dollars or Euro, and gamers can also obtain the whole Season Pass for Assassin's Creed Syndicate for 29.99 dollars or Euro.

The game is already allowing players to make an interaction with some historical figures including Darwin and Dickens, and the addition of the killer is a good way to increase the level of immersion for gamers.

Ubisoft has not yet said why it has decided to make Jack the Ripper content exclusively playable by Evie Frye and whether it plans to use the same mono-character model for the rest of the DLC that's coming for Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Gamers will also be able to travel to India and get access to more weapons

The Season Pass for Assassin's Creed Syndicate includes a Last Maharaja mission pack, which features Duleep Singh as he tries to gain his rightful place as the Maharaja by emerging victorious from a series of ten new missions with unique elements.

No launch date has yet been offered, but the content will probably arrive in spring of next year.

The game will also receive an extension called A Long Night, during which Jacob Frye will need to track down a member of his gang and bring him back to the hideout of the Rooks.

The Streets of London gameplay pack for Assassin's Creed Syndicate will add more than one hour of new content with extra missions, gear, outfits and weapons, and gamers can also equip their characters with steampunk and Victorian items.

Those who have paid for the Season Pass can also use a permanent experience boost that allows them to gain access to more skills.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate has been well received by both fans and critics and marks a return to form for the franchise after the major problems Unity had last year.

Ubisoft is planning to launch two new Chronicles titles, one focused on India and another on Russia, during the first two months of 2016, allowing gamers to experience unique adventures in a 2.5 D world.

A new entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise will be launched in the fall of next year, but official details about it will probably be offered in the spring of 2016.
