A new San Diego based American mobile phone manufacturer has hit the market. Their first release is the izenMobile Krma, which is a smartphone designed device that runs a Windows Mobile Pocket PC operating system. I suppose this would make it a Pocket PC smartphone, with a pretty interesting name choice (long live the brandable name mania initiated by Motorola).

The Krma is a tri-band handset, working on 900/1800/1900 Mhz networks, and offering features like a 2 megapixel digital camera with flash, a 2.2 inch LCD display, an integrated FM radio, connectivity support through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies and a miniSD memory expansion card slot.

Jon Driscoll, the izenMobile president and CEO, has declared that "the market for Windows Mobile devices is growing rapidly, but small and medium businesses continue to be underserved by both carriers and manufacturers. With izenMobile, we're creating a customized mix of devices, services and support to make digital life easier and more effective."

He has also declared that "what makes izenMobile unique is the branded service offering. It is a rich mix of customization, technical and service support, unique software and applications, an inclusive and compelling community experience."

Their website provides the izenMobile customers with a seamless interface with the online service offered by the company. The izenUniverse, which connects the users with their phones and data, gives them remote centralized control over their devices, over-the-air update capabilities, software management and the possibility of backups with the izenGuru offering around the clock support and the izenLounge with software and technical support and also exclusive info on the izenMobile next releases.

izenMobile has declared that this is the first handheld from a series of seven others, which will be launched in 2007, and their target market will be in the beginning South and North American regions.
