It seems that the mobile market continues to grow as the products continue to diminish their size and increase their capabilities. This is why every one of the memory devices specialized manufacturers is trying to get their cards into the phone slots and gain a bigger market share and a larger piece of profit.

Transcend has demonstrated it has the know-how even if others surpassed its sales. But the maker is still struggling and it has consequently developed a Hi-Speed 80X Ultra-Performance microSD Memory Card which can be used in MP3 Players, Digital Cameras, Mobile Phones, Smart Phones, PDAs, or other mobile devices.

More exactly, Transcend's latest SD memory card is no bigger than a SIM card and comes in two capacity versions - the 256MB and the 512MB, being also compliant with any SD slot as it features an adaptor.

"Extremely fast data transfer speeds of up to 12MB/sec give the New 80X microSD Cards a 70% increase in transfers speed when compared with normal microSD Cards. Transcend's high performance 80X microSD Cards are the perfect choice of Memory Card for use in the next generation of mobile phones and portable devices, which include a memory card slot as standard," writes Hardware Zone.

Transcend stated during the launch that it uses only the SLC (Single-Level-Cell) NAND Flash chips in its microSD Cards and that it tests the products on several devices such as digital cameras or mobile phones.
