Pandawill, a Chinese electronics wholesale company, has published a nice little demonstration video of the Apple Peel 520 developed by Yosion. In the video, a Pandawill staffer explains what the Peel is and what it does, how it’s used, what the device is comprised of and more.

The company appropriately points out that Yosion’s Apple Peel 520 is very talked about. Softpedia must have reported GoSolarUSA’s announcements regarding the device’s US launch half a dozen times.

But back to Pandawill’s preview of the Apple Peel 520.

Viewers will observe that the Peel is not at all the ugly skin many thought it would be. Although the iPod touch looks better on its own, the Peel makes it look very much like the bulkier iPhone 4.

Best of all, it includes its own battery which extends the iPod touch battery life.

It’s simple to work it too, provided that you have a jailbroken iPod touch with the necessary software installed.

Users simply slip in their device, feed a SIM card to the Peel, press a button on the back of the case until they hear an audio signal indicating that the iTouch is ready to make calls, and proceed with placing the call.

Voice calls can also be received (of course), while texting functionality is available as well.

According to a picture of the Apple Peel 520 provided by Pandawill, the accessory boasts its own 30-pin dock connector, since it needs the iPod touch’s actual connector to work. However, it is placed on one of its sides, rather than at the bottom.

GoSolarUSA struck a deal with the Apple Peel developer (Yosion) last month to make the device available in the U.S, while national distributors including Micro Center and others have inquired GoSolarUSA about carrying the device.

On September 27, GoSolarUSA announced that the first demonstration units of Yosion’s Apple Peel 520 were expected to arrive on American shores soon.

It described the Peel as “a cutting-edge wireless skin capable of transforming Apple’s iPod Touch media player into a smartphone.”
