GoSolarUSA president and CEO Tyson Rohde has announced plans to visit the developer of the Apple Peel 520, Yosion, in China to assist with preparations for shipping the first units to the U.S. GoSolarUSA has an agreement with Yosion to sell the device in the U.S.

In a report issued minutes ago, the CEO confirmed his plans to meet with Yosion high-ups in the Chinese electronics capitol Shenzhen sometime in the next two weeks.

“The trip will be Rohde’s first to Asia’s emerging clean-energy leader,” the report goes to reveal.

“Yosion and GoSolarUSA signed a funding option agreement earlier this month, and GoSolarUSA aims to facilitate distribution and share the future profits of the groundbreaking wireless gadget in North America,” it adds.

This groundbreaking wireless gadget is nothing more than a case for the iPod touch that, by its nature, can turn the portable media player into a working phone - almost identical to the iPhone.

“In China, I’ll have an opportunity to meet face-to-face with the developers of Yosion’s Apple Peel 520 for the first time,” Rohde said.

“While I’m there, I’ll also visit Yosion’s manufacturing facilities and evaluate the company’s manufacturing processes and quality control. Demand is high for this product, and we’re anticipating a big roll-out.”

At first glance, the news didn’tt seem to fall well with the company’s previous assessment that the Apple Peel 520 would arrive in the U.S. this week.

We then remembered that GoSolarUSA’s report said something about “demo” units arriving to America.

“The Peel 520’s initial manufacturing run left the factory bound for Chinese retailers last week. GSLO announced Monday that the first demonstration models of the device to hit U.S. shores are expected to arrive this week,” the report reads.

“As soon as they arrive, we expect to distribute demonstration models to the media and to retail buyers across the country,” Rohde said.
