Starting today, many mobile phone users in the United States can enjoy a dream come true, as the Apple iPhone is made available for purchase on Verizon Wireless' airwaves for the general public, regardless the operator customers have at the moment. Announced during a press event held about a month ago, the Verizon iPhone 4 arrives on shelves with CDMA connectivity, and is set to be put on sale today via Verizon's stores, through Apple, and at retail partners.

Of course, the handset is also on present on the wireless carrier's online store, as well as on Apple's website, so that users can make a purchase from the comfort of their homes too.

The contract price tag for the device was set at $199.99 for the 16GB iteration, and at $299.99 for the 32GB flavor. Both variants would require the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless services provider.

Verizon announced that those who would like to take full advantage of the features and capabilities of the iPhone 4 should subscribe to a Nationwide Talk plan or a Nationwide Talk and Text plan, along with an unlimited Email and Web data plan.
