Huawei is currently working on two upcoming smartphones that it will most likely introduce to the market soon. Huawei Mate 9 and Mate S2 come with some reliable specs, and recent rumors say that the devices will sport Leica rear cameras.

The new piece of information comes from PhoneArena, and it indicates that Huawei Mate 9 could boast a dual camera setup with sensors made by Leica. This isn’t the first time that Huawei partnered with Leica in order to equip its smartphones with sensors created by the company, like the P9 flagship, which also came with two rear cameras.

The dual-camera setup on the Mate 9 is expected to come with OIS, laser autofocus, and analog zoom. The report also mentions that Mate S2 will come with a dual-camera setup on the back as well, made by Leica.

The Mate S2 could come with up to 6GB of RAM

Huawei’s Mate 9 recently got benchmarked over at GFXBench, and the listing revealed some specs of the upcoming smartphone. The device seems to sport a 5.9-inch display with 1080p resolution and to pack an octa-core 2.6GHz processor, while also offering 4GB of RAM.

In addition, it could come with Mali-T880 graphics processing unit and have 64GB of internal storage, together with the option to expand to more using a microSD card. The tablet could run Android 7.0 Nougat and feature an 8MP front selfie snapper. Rear camera capacity could reach 12MP, but this information should be taken with a grain of salt, since specs in benchmark tests aren’t always confirmed upon the device’s release.

The Mate S2 will also come with some powerful specs, with rumors pointing to a 5.5-inch display with Kirin 960 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.6GHzs and 6GB of RAM. In addition, the smartphone could come with a 3,500mAh battery and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the latest Huawei EMUI interface on top.
