Huawei's Watch 2 smartwatch leaked a couple of days ago, so it's not really surprising that the Chinese company made it official today alongside its P10 and P10 Plus flagship smartphones. The surprise comes in the form of a premium Huawei Watch 2 model, which was built in collaboration with Porsche Design.

Although Huawei hasn't revealed any details about the smartwatch's price, it has confirmed the regular version will be available in March in the following countries: China, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.

Starting April, customers in the following markets will be able to purchase the Huawei Watch 2: US, UK, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland, The Nordics, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, India, South Africa, Poland, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and UAE.

According to Huawei, its new smartwatch features a 316L stainless steel body and 22mm watch bands. With a 45mm in diameter, Huawei Watch 2 is not the smallest smartwatch available on the market.

One the bight side, the Watch 2 and its more expensive Porsche Design version feature IP68 certification, so they're waterproof. Also, both come with a wide range of tracking apps, built-in GPS, and heart rate sensor.

Hardware-wise, Huawei Watch 2 comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor, 768MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory. It also sports a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with 390 x 390 pixels featuring Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

As previously reported, Huawei Watch 2 comes with 4G LTE cellular connectivity thanks to the included regular SIM slot (eSIM in some markets). The LTE model also offers VoLTE, noise cancellation with 2 mics and dual antennas.

A non-LTE version will be available for purchase too. However, both versions come with NFC (Near Field Communication), Android Pay and Wi-Fi support, as well as Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.

Huawei Watch 2 is powered by a 420 mAh battery, which is supposed to last 10 hours in Traning Mode (GPS enabled), or up to 2 days on regular use. Obviously, all versions will ship with Android Wear 2.0 operating system on board.
