Huawei's newest budget-friendly smartphone leaked for the first time last week. The Honor Holly 2 Plus is now official and will go on sale this week for only Rs 8,499 ($125 / €115).

Aside from its low price, which is one of its strongest points, Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus comes with a large 4,000 mAh battery, which is rated for up to 24 hours with just 10% energy.

According to fonearena, Huawei states that Honor Holly 2 Plus' large battery should provide up to 3.75 days of average use or up to 2 days on heavy use.

Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus will be available for purchase beginning today via Flipkart, but customers will be able to grab the smartphone in Grey, Gold and White, directly from Amazon India.

Even though the rest of the phone's specs aren't that great, Huawei's budget-friendly handset offers decent specs such as a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and both CDMA and 4G support.

Quad-core CPU and 16GB storage

On the inside, the Honor Holly 2 Plus comes equipped with a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM. The device packs 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Another good feature confirmed by Huawei is the 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision BSI sensor, 6P lenses and video recording. In the front, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity-wise, the Honor Holly 2 Plus offers both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG (on-the-go), and GPS with AGPS support.

Last but not least, Huawei's smartphone ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it.
