Chinese company Huawei has just announced that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will arrive on the Honor 7 in about two weeks from February 15. Hopefully, by the end of the month, Huawei Honor 7 owners will receive the highly-anticipated upgrade.

Huawei had been testing Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Honor 7 for a few months now. A beta build has been made available in the UK and India a while ago, but the Chinese company did not offer any details regarding the release.

Keep in mind that the update has only been confirmed for European countries, so it might take a few more weeks until it reaches other regions.

However, since the Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta has already been released in India, we expect the final build to arrive by the end of the month as well.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring many major improvements to Huawei Honor 7 devices, aside from those already included by Google.

New professional mode for camera, eyesight protection mode in Display settings

According to Huawei, the update should add a new professional mode for the camera, which enables Honor 7 owners to use professional parameters in any combination to achieve the desired effect.

Also, Android M will add document readjustment function, which allows users to capture text content appearing on the camera lens when enabled.

Huawei also confirmed the update brings a new compass application and new alarm ring duration selections.

A new screen recording function will be available as well, so users will be able to record their screen operating steps much easier, and then make it to a small course and share it with others.

Eyesight protection mode in Display settings will allow users to adjust the backlight and make it softer. Another nifty feature introduced in the update is the scheduled power on and power off functions, which enables the phone to auto power on and off.

There are a lot more changes in Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Huawei Honor 7, but let's wait for the Chinese company to start the rollout of the update.
