HTC has at least a handful of Android smartphones in the pipeline, which the company plans to announce in the next couple of months.

Rumors about the HTC One X9 emerged late last week when we reported that this might be another flagship smartphone thanks to its octa-core CPU and Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display.

A few days later, new information about the One X9 denied the initial report claiming this was just another mid-range smartphone that should be released 2-3 months before HTC One M10 arrived.

Today, another press image of the HTC One X9 leaked online directly from China. This time, we get to see the back side of the phone, along with its front part.

The first picture of the phone leaked last week together with its alleged specs, but we only got to see the front part of the One X9.

The 13MP camera could be its main selling point

There doesn't seem to be anything unusual design-wise, and the HTC One X9 looks just like a standard mid-range Android smartphone.

For those out of the loop, HTC One X9 is likely to be released on the market as HTC E56. It will sport a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

The smartphone is likely to include a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, probably provided by MediaTek, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Also, the One X9 will pack a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, dual-LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization) and video recording while on the front there should be a 4-UltraPixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Last but not least, the phone will drain energy from a 3,000 mAh battery and should come preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
