14 DAY TRIAL // It looks like the One X9 is another stylish mid-range Android smartphone that HTC plans to launch in the next couple of weeks.
Since the Taiwanese company raised the bar with the One A9's success, the One X9 should be at least as popular as the former, and from the latest pictures coming from China, it looks like that might happen.
The first images of the HTC One X9 leaked online earlier this week, but the latest high-resolution pictures offer us an even better look at what's to come.
Coupled with all the rumors coming from reliable sources regarding its specs, we now have a better idea of HTC's plans for the beginning of 2016.
HTC One X9 is expected to be unveiled sometime next year, but an exact release date hasn't emerged yet. We also believe the smartphone will be initially launched in Asian countries, soon followed by a worldwide rollout.
Let's hope for Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Specs-wise, the One X9 is a pure mid-range smartphone. We hope HTC will put Android 6.0 Marshmallow on it, just as it did with the One A9 since it will increase the phone's desirability.
We also know the smartphone will pack an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor inside, coupled with a G6200 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
It should also feature 16GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB). There might be another variant available with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage inside, but that has yet to be confirmed.
HTC One X9 will sport a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, as well as 3,000 mAh battery.
On the back, the mid-range smartphone should pack a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization) and video recording, while on the front rumor has it the One X9 will come with a 4-UltraPixel selfie camera.
Last but not least, as many of you can notice in these leaked pictures, HTC One X9 will feature a metal build, BoomSound speakers, and touch-sensitive control key.
