While our attention focuses on the new flagships to be unveiled later this month at Mobile World Congress 2016 trade fair, another company plans to launch its premium handset at a later date.

HTC is now expected to launch its flagship smartphone on April 11, possibly in London. The device will not be released on the market as One M10, though the One brand name will remain.

The Taiwanese company's plans to skip MWC 2016 for a dedicated launch event has been trumpeted many months ago by @Ricciolo1, but at that time, no one believed it was true.

The leakster also predicted that HTC's flagship won't come to market as One M10, but under a different moniker that hasn't been revealed yet.

Today, a new report from 4gnews.pt claims HTC will announce a major launch event for April 11. We don't know when the Taiwanese company will make the announcement, but there's a high chance that HTC will wait until after MWC to confirm the launch event.

Rumors about HTC One M10, or whatever its name, have started to pile up in the last couple of weeks. We've even had the opportunity to see the device captured in a live picture and a mockup of the smartphone based on the latest information leaked online.

An improved 12-UltraPixel camera and Snapdragon 820 CPU

HTC's upcoming flagship is rumored to come with a 5.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

The Taiwanese company plans to include a 12-UltraPixel camera on the back, which should feature some advanced imaging technology. It will also include a fingerprint sensor hidden under the Home button.

We also know the One M10 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.

Naturally, the smartphone will come preloaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and the newest version of HTC Sense UI.
