HTC started the rollout of the Android 7.0 Nougat update to HTC 10 smartphones in Europe a few days ago and it seems that more phones in HTC’s portfolio are preparing to be treated to software updates to the same Android OS version.

HTC 10 Lifestyle and One M9 smartphones in Europe are starting to receive software updates to Android 7.0 Nougat. HTC 10 Lifestyle phones will also get Android 7.0 Nougat, ROM version 2.22.401.3, according to Twitter user LlabTooFeR. The update has a size of 1.15GB, and it's recommended to download it over WiFi connection, rather than mobile data.

HTC One M9 smartphones in Europe have started receiving a software update to Android 7.0 Nougat, version 4.14.401.7. The version has a larger size of 1.27GB and contains the 7.0 Nougat update, the latest Android security update by Google, and various system enhancements. The update won’t delete any content of the user’s phone, but it’s always a good idea to back up information just in case.

HTC One A9 will receive 7.0 Nougat update in Europe next

The next HTC smartphone expected to receive an update in Europe is the HTC One A9. HTC was one of the first smartphone makers to launch updates to Android 7.0 Nougat back in November last year. The rollout seemed to be going well in the US, but in Europe the company recently halted the process due to some unknown bugs.

Last week, HTC announced that at least two weeks would pass until HTC 10 smartphones in Europe would receive the update, but it seems that the issues were resolved sooner since the rollout restarted a few days ago.

Many smartphone makers have updated their flagship, premium and even mid-range phones to 7.0 Nougat, while others prepare to launch new smartphones that run the Android version out of the box.
