Honor is going to race Huawei for the best looking smartphone at MWC 2017. The Chinese company plans to launch a slightly downgraded version of the Honor 8 later this month.

We already reported about the Honor 8 Lite last week, so some of you probably know that the smartphone is expected to make its debut on the market in March. The device will cost €280 outright and will be released globally, but its availability will be expanded in stages.

Today, we have a new set of pictures coming directly from Finland. SuomiMobili reports the Honor P8 Lite is already available for pre-order in Finland for €269 outright.

Moreover, those who pre-order the smartphone will receive it as early as February 17, when the Honor 8 Lite will go on sale.

Since Honor has already put the phone on pre-order, we now know everything there is to know about the Honor 8 Lite before it even got official. If you plan on getting the lower version of the Honor 8, here is what you should expect.

First of all, the smartphone will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. Furthermore, the Honor P8 Lite sports a 5.2-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features 2.5D glass coating.

As the pictures suggest, the Honor 8 Lite features a fingerprint scanner on the back side. Alongside it, there's a 12-megapixel single lens camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash.

In the front, there's a secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera with 77-degree angle of view, which is supposed to take state-of-the-art pictures.

Hardware-wise, the P8 Lite is powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

It's unclear whether or not the smartphone will still benefit from a dedicated launch event, but it's worth noting that it will go on sale ahead of MWC 2017.
