Ubisoft confirmed last week that a new so-called Terminator event will be added to Ghost Recon Breakpoint this month. Today, the French publisher and developer announced Terminators will invade Auroa starting January 29.

As the name suggests, this is a Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon / Terminator crossover, but don't expect to see or hear Arnold Schwarzenegger. So, beginning January 29, Ghost Recon Breakpoint players will have a new enemy to fight – the T-800, a killing machine that will not stop until its targets are neutralized.

The in-game event is inspired by the original “The Terminator” movie released in 1984, and it's been created in partnership with StudioCanal. The content update adds two free, story-driven main missions, new weapons, new vehicles, and even more cosmetics.

Also, there are new daily warfare and interception missions where players must face Terminators across Auroa. These missions are playable in solo or in co-op by anyone who has already completed the introductory mission and made it to Erewhon.

According to Ubisoft, the first mission that will be released on January 29, introduces Rasa Aldwin, a resistance fighter from the future who can help you stop the Terminators. The second mission that's part of the in-game event, will be launched on February 1 and adds a new weapon from the future that's very effective against Terminators.

The upcoming Terminator event will run from January 29 through February 6, and lets players earn exclusive rewards by completing the missions and daily challenges. Although the missions will still be available to play after February 6, the rewards will not.

Among these rewards, Ubisoft confirmed players will be able to win movie-inspired punk- and resistance-themed cosmetic outfits, as well as Terminator-themed vehicles and weapons. Also, players will be able to purchase two special cosmetic packs that will allow them to visually transform their character into the Terminator or Kyle Reese.
