14 DAY TRIAL // Harman Kardon has decided that a single product launch doesn't' really do them justice, and for this reason, beside the home theater in a box we've talked about yesterday, they're rolling out a couple of extra products, namely the harman kardon HD 990 CD player and harman kardon HK 990 integrated amplifier.
Optimized for precision playback, the HD 990's high-performance technology offers music lovers a rich and organic sound experience, attained with the help of the stereo digital-to-analog converters that bring third-generation Real-Time Linear Smoothing (RLS III) for spacious, detailed sound.
Furthermore, the high-resolution synchronization offers maximum precision, while jitter-free clock synchronization preserves harmonic notes and the two digital inputs improve the sound quality from external devices.
Other important features worth mentioning about harman kardon's CD player include the CD-Text support, support for MP3 playback with ID3, as well as full compatibility with CD-R and CD-RW format to play recordable and erasable discs.
Complementing the HD 990, the HK 990 sports dual subwoofer outputs, high current capability, and fourth-generation Real-Time Linear Smoothing (RLS IV) technology that allow the system to play a track with the same sound quality as its original recording.
Equipped with EZSet/EQ II technology, the HK 990 gives users the ability to tune the audio system for the room it’s in, while high-resolution synchronization offers a very good level of CD sound reproduction.

Of course, these two devices are not exactly what we might call affordable, since the harman kardon HD 990 sells for around $699, while the harman kardon HK 990 goes as high as $2,599.
