14 DAY TRIAL // The team at 343 Industries has been very good at delivering regular updates for Halo 5: Guardians and the company is now announcing that it is also tweaking the Waypoint official site, introducing a new online file browser that gives players an easier way to access their favorite maps, clips, modes and more.
The developer explains that "Our goal with this update is to bring all of your content from Halo 5: Guardians to your fingertips, which is why the new Waypoint File Browser allows players to view and share all of the content that you’ve created with the Xbox One DVR feature."
Users can see both their video and images and those that are trending, as decided by the Halo 5: Guardians community of gamers.
The file browser for Halo Waypoint also offers full access to maps and modes that have been created by the fans using the Forge editor and 343 Industries says that it is easy to see everything a creator has put together or to simply download a new piece of content that can add an interesting twists on a Custom Game.
The new feature can also be used with the match films that players have in Theater mode, which can become fully accessible on Waypoint once they are bookmarked.
Memories of Reach is the new major DLC for Halo 5: Guardians
Ghosts of Meridian was launched recently, adding two new maps and more REQ packs that gamers can use, and 343 Industries is at the moment working on the Warzone Firefight mode, which has been in beta and will get further tweaks before its summer launch date.
The new downloadable content pack for Halo 5: Guardians is called Memories of Reach and should be introduced before the end of May, but the studio has not talked about the kinds of new experiences it will offer although Infection might be included as a new mode.
343 Industries has also recently announced that it is working with partners at Spartan Games to create a new Halo: Ground Command tabletop game, which will allow gamers to take part in the savage fighting that took place on Reach between the UNSC and the Covenant.
The title is set to arrive before the end of the year and will use beautiful miniatures that give fans control over everything from Spartans to Scarabs and other unique ground and air forces for both sides.
