Halo 5: Guardians is about one month away from launch, and that means the second season of the popular Hunt the Truth audio episodic series is moving faster than the first one, with a new episode now live and offering more details about the state of the world at the start of the campaign.

Midnight station is at the center of the story, a place where the new protagonist of the narrative is headed after the horrific events of the first installment in the new series.

Benjamin Giraud is also featured, although some fans of Hunt the Truth will be shocked by his current state.

A major new threat to the UNSC and its planets is also introduced.

Earlier in the week, 343 Industries also delivered a cinematic that introduces the members of Blue Team, headed by Master Chief, as they get ready to attack an abandoned ONI research facility that is also targeted by a hardcore group of Covenant.

The entire story of Halo 5: Guardians is centered around the old protagonist of the series and the newly introduced Agent Locke, with the pair moving across the universe of the series as they seek to find the truth about a new threat.

Halo 5: Guardians will deliver a variety of experiences in one package

The single player will be one of the most important elements of the coming shooter, mainly because of the emotional investment that long-term fans have into the character of Master Chief and his adventures.

But 343 Industries is also interested in making sure that the multiplayer of Halo 5: Guardians is engaging in the long term, regardless of the mode that gamers choose to engage with.

The entirely new experience in the shooter is called Warzone, and gamers who play it will get a range of very big maps that support both Player versus Environment and Player versus Player engagements.

Gamers will also be able to play Capture the Flag in a new incarnation, and Big Team Battle will be delivered, with its own assortment of maps, after launched.

For the more competitive fans, the development team is delivering an experience called Arena, which will be used for big eSports competitions all through the winter of the year.

Halo 5: Guardians will be delivered on October 27 and can only be played on the Xbox One.
