One of the two Nexus smartphones to be launched by Google next week, the LG-made Nexus 5X, has just passed FCC (Federal Communications Commission), which means it's very close to being released on the market.

Speaking of which, the Nexus 5X is expected to go on pre-order in early October, but it will only be available for purchase a few weeks later.

The smartphone will be made available in the United States via Google Play Store, and if you've been wondering if the Nexus 5X features support for your favorite carrier bands, then you will be pleased to know that it does.

According to the listing at FCC, Google Nexus 5X features support for all US carrier bands, including Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T.

It's also worth mentioning that the international version of the Nexus 5X, which is codenamed LG-H791, has been approved by FCC as well, so the smartphone should be made available worldwide around the same date.

Keep in mind though that the international version of Nexus 5X lacks CDMA support, but it does offer global GSM compatibility.

Wireless charging is likely to be included

The documents also confirm that the Nexus 5X will pack a non-removable battery, which isn't surprising at all. Also, the smartphone measures 145.9 x 72.5mm, but there's no mention of weight just yet.

As many of you probably know by now, Google Nexus 5X will sport a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Also, the smartphone will be powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

The documents filed at FCC also mention that wireless chargers have been tested as well, which means there's a high chance the Nexus 5X will come with wireless charging technology too.

This means that the Google Nexus 5X won't feature metal body like the Huawei-made Nexus 6P, which will lack wireless charging technology.
