14 DAY TRIAL // We're only a few days away from Google's big reveal and details about the upcoming Nexus smartphones continue to emerge.
The folks over at AndroidPolice have just uncovered a dozen screenshots taken from an official presentation of the Nexus 6P, which we believe will be unveiled next week.
The presentation slides offer more in-depth details about the more expensive Nexus smartphone that will be launched this year. Manufactured by Huawei, the Nexus 6P is confirmed to come with a metal body and more than decent specs.
According to the specs list, the smartphone will be equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor version 2.1, which should not be affected by the overheating issues reported initially.
Three models, four color options
Unfortunately, the leaked documents do not mention anything about the amount of RAM, but they do confirm that the Nexus 6P will be available in three variants based on storage size: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.
This means there won't be a 16GB model launched, which kind of makes sense since both Nexus smartphones will probably lack microSD card slot for memory expansion.
There will be four color options to choose from: Aluminum, Graphite, Frost and Gold. Additional color schemes might be offered in the future though.
The slides also mention that the Nexus 6P will boast a large 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.
Dual front-facing speakers and USB Type-C port will be included too, along with a fingerprint scanner on the back side.
Obviously, the Nexus 6P will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box, but we also learn that it will be powered by a decent 3,450 mAh battery.
Since the smartphone features metal body, it's unlikely to include wireless charging, but we can safely assume that it will come with Qualcomm's latest Quick Charging technology.
