After Xiaomi unveiled its amazing Mi Note 2 and Mi MIX smartphones, all eyes are now focusing on another Chinese company, Huawei. The Chinese giant is expected to announce its most powerful smartphone to date, the Mate 9, on November 3.

There are only a few days left until the smartphone will be revealed to the world, still, there's plenty of time to find out more about the Mate 9, even though the phablet hasn't been announced yet.

We reported earlier today about the first press renders of the smartphone that leaked from China, and now it looks like another set of pictures of the Mate 9 emerged online. This time, the Huawei Mate 9 is shown in live pictures, so we can get a better view of what's to come.

Unlike the press renders that can be altered, the live pictures are proof that the Mate 9 will offer some of the features rumored in our previous reports. For example, we now know for sure the phablet will boast a dual-camera setup and a fingerprint sensor below the main photo snapper.

Also, to the left of the camera there's a dual-tone LED flash. The Huawei logo is etched at the base of the back cover. The front-side confirms Huawei has decided against adding a physical Home button, but the left and right bezels are looking very thin.

Rumor has it that Huawei plans to announce two Mate 9 versions. The Pro model will pack a 5.9-inch display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, whereas the standard model will sport a similarly sized display with full HD (1080p) support.

The innards of the Mate 9 will look as impressive as the outsides thanks to the powerful HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor. Huawei will also add either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, as well as 128/256GB of internal memory.

Such a powerful phone probably needs a larger battery, which is why the Mate 9 is expected to pack a 4,000 mAh battery inside. Another positive aspect could be the fact that it will run Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box.
