Remember our previous report on the affordable Samsung Galaxy J3, which is expected to arrive in the United States early next year? Well, it looks like it won't come alone.

LG is said to bring one of its lowest Android smartphones to the US market. According to a report from VentureBeat, a new low-end handset called LG K7 is expected to be available in the United States sometime early next year.

The smartphone will be available via one or more carriers in the country, but there are no details on price for the moment. However, we believe the LG K7 will be offered for free on 2-year agreements and probably for less than $100 on prepaid.

A $100 Android smartphone coming from LG is quite unusual in the US, but here is what the K7 has to offer regarding specs.

LTE support might make it more appealing

First of all, LG K7 sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports a disappointing 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The good news is the smartphone comes with LTE support, which should make it more appealing to consumers.

Furthermore, the LG K7 comes equipped with a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, complemented by 1.5GB of RAM and only 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Also, the budget-friendly smartphone packs a 5-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a similar photo snapper in the front sans LED flash.

It's also worth mentioning that T-Mobile might be one of the carriers that will be picking up the LG K7, but the information hasn't been confirmed yet so take it with a grain of salt for the moment.

That's about everything we have about LG K7, but we suspect more info on price and availability will emerge in the coming weeks.
