Samsung recently announced that the unlocked Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are available for purchase in the US, but it seems that customers can get their hands on yet another variant of the two flagship phones.

The dual-SIM and Exynos-powered variant of the Galaxy S8+ has been spotted in the US for the price of $804.99 and no sales tax except in Florida and California. The smartphone usually has a price tag of about $824.99 plus tax in the US, but this version seems to be a bit cheaper.

The device is currently available in two color options, including Midnight Black and Maple Gold. Sadly, the Orchid Gray option of the dual-SIM Galaxy S8+ isn’t available in the listing on eBay. The device is unlocked and doesn’t come with carrier bloatware.

The Exynos-powered Galaxy S8+ is region locked in the US

It’s worth mentioning that the Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy S8+ is region locked in the US, but there’s an easy way to unlock it. Users simply need to place or receive a five-minute call in any other country and the smartphone automatically unlocks.

Still, the version will only work on GSM networks, which means that it’s not compatible with CDMA carries in the US, like Sprint, Verizon, Boost or Cricket. At the time of writing, 150 Galaxy S8+ units with dual-SIM support and Exynos 8895 SoC have been sold, more than 65% of the stock. Customers who aren’t pleased with their purchase can opt for the 30-day return option.

By contrast, Samsung is charging more for the Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+ with Snapdragon 835 platform in the US, as the phones sell for about $824.99. However, the smartphone maker also provides various deals, trade-in discounts for older phones, as well as freebies for each purchase. In addition, carriers in the US also have their own deals for customers who are interested in buying the latest flagship from Samsung.
