14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just released Windows 10 build 10166 to insiders, but since this version is only available to those enrolled in the fast ring, no new ISOs have been provided.
Fortunately, thanks to the ESD files that Microsoft shipped, building your own ISOs is not hard at all, so in case you're into trying unofficial stuff and you really want to do a clean install with the new build, below you can find the links to download the new version.
Windows 10 build 10166 is focused on fixing bugs and improving the overall performance, and this was something expected, since the company is now working at full speed to make the new operating system as stable and reliable as possible before the big launch.
“Just like the 3 builds we released last week, this build is all about bug fixing and fit-and-finish. Be sure to keep using the Windows Feedback app to send us feedback on any problems you’re hitting to help us make sure Windows 10 is awesome when we release it on July 29th!” Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, explained.
The last preview build before RTM?
With Windows 10 RTM now expected next week, there are some rumors that this could be the last preview build before the final version comes out on July 29, so this is pretty much the best time to join the program and start using Windows 10.
The Windows Insider program, however, will continue after the launch of Windows 10, as Microsoft wants to work together with developers on the next updates of the operating system.
The first is set to arrive later this year, and work on this update has already started, but insiders will get to test it after Windows 10 launches this month.
