Microsoft has just released a new version of Windows 10 preview for users enrolled in the fast ring of the Windows Insider program, and just like the previous builds, this new one is specifically focused on fixing bugs and improving performance.

Windows 10 build 10166 is now being shipped to insiders across the world, and Microsoft says that there's just one new feature included in this version, namely the new Microsoft Wi-Fi app.

New Microsoft Wi-Fi app

Still in testing stage, this new app allows you to purchase paid Wi-Fi access in Seattle straight from the Windows Store.

Microsoft explains how it works:

“You will know when you can purchase Wi-Fi when you see ‘Buy Wi-Fi from Windows Store’ in your list of networks when clicking on the network icon on the lower right in the Taskbar. The Microsoft Wi-Fi app provides the choice to pay with a Credit or Debit Card, a Microsoft Gift Card, PayPal, or Wireless Carrier Billing, and it helps keep your information secure since it uses the Windows Store payment system.”

If your Microsoft account is configured in the system, the purchase is performed automatically and you do not need to do anything else.

Redmond says that this feature is currently being tested in Seattle, but it could be released to the United States very soon if no major bug is found.

Together with this new build, Microsoft has also pushed a new Windows 10 SDK version for developers, introducing what could be the very last updates before the big launch on July 29.

Windows 10 is projected to launch later this month, and it's not yet clear whether Redmond plans to release any other build besides the one offered today before the official unveiling. But given the fact that 10166 is all about fixing bugs and improving performance, this could be the closest you'll get to RTM before the launch on July 29.
