Adam Jensen never asked to become one of the most powerful individuals in the world of Deus Ex. However, for gamers who were happy to explore his unique augmentations during the first title in the prequel series, this fresh trailer for the coming Mankind Divided shows the new tools that become available as the character has to tackle even bigger challenges.

The footage reveals some impressive new augmentations and also gives fans a look at the apartment of the main characters and some of the big new locations that he will be able to explore.

The developer at Eidos Montreal adds, "Now an experienced covert operative, Adam Jensen is forced to operate in a world that has grown to despise his kind. Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy."

The new game will take place two years after the events of Human Revolution, in a world that's even more divided between those who use augmentations and those who hate enhanced individuals and seek to destroy them.

The developers have promised that the levels of the coming game will be significantly bigger than those of the original and will feature more opportunities to use either stealth or force to reach objectives.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be launched on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the PC, and the Xbox One from Microsoft on August 23.

Eidos and Square Enix are also offering a Deluxe Edition of the game

Fans who are ready to place a pre-order for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided can get the Day One physical edition of the title for 69.99 dollars or Euro on consoles and 49.99 dollars or Euro on the PC in order to get access to an extra mission as well as a Covert Agent pack that offers items, weapons, and upgrades that will make Adam Jensen more effective.

The package also features a mini art book, a novella, a comic book and a soundtrack samples.

A Collector's Edition for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will introduce all the content of the Day One version as well as a black and gold Prism box, an Adam Jensen figurine, a steel book, and a 48-page art book.

The digital version of the same edition also comes complete with the Season Pass for the video game, although the development team has not yet offered information on what kind of extra content they plan to deliver.
