Gamers will have to log into the game before getting rewards

The development team at Bungie is announcing that it is planning to deliver a new patch for Destiny, set to arrive on 10 AM Pacific Standard Timed on Monday, April 18, to deal with some of the issues that were introduced by the recent 2.2.0 update for the social shooter.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the company and does not mention the Sterling Treasure problems by name, although gamers who commented on it are pretty sure that this is what will be fixed.

Bungie says that gamers might be asked to log into the video game again once the new patch is deployed, and it seems that this is a minor update that will not have any major impact on the core mechanics of Destiny.

Sterling Treasure, which was introduced last week, seems not to be dropping for many players, which means that they are missing out on many of the rewards that Guardians can use as they try to reach the new maximum Light level added in the April update.

Gamers will want to visit the Postmaster once the new fix is in so that they can pick up their missing items, and Bungie might also use the occasion to add a few minor other fixes to the video game, with a list of notes probably offered at 10 AM PST.

Destiny has added new PvE activities

The free update for the social shooter has added a new Light level of 335, a new strike called Blighted Chalice, more missions, and a new take on Prison of Elders, aiming to offer the player community a range of experiences to keep them engaged with the title.

Bungie has also added some new weapons and armors for gamers to use and has significantly rebalanced the game, trying to make the fans use a wider array of tools of destruction, depending on the situation they are facing.

For the coming months, the company will probably focus on refining the core mechanics and on eliminating any sort of bugs that the community will discover.

A new and paid expansion for Destiny is also set to arrive this year, probably in the fall and probably designed to offer a new raid, something that gamers have been asking for since The Taken King was first launched.

A full sequel is also in the works at Bungie and Activision, and the plan seems to be to launch it during 2017.
