The development team at Bungie is announcing that the long-awaited 2.0 update for Destiny is now in the process of being deployed on all platforms, with gamers required to download and apply it as quickly as possible.

The information comes from the official Help account of the title, and the company is not saying when the entire community will get the major changes that it introduces.

To the frustration of many in the player community, the company is not yet offering the full patch notes for update 2.0 and it seems that gamers will have to wait a little bit longer before exploring all the tweaks that are being made to Destiny.

We already know that Peter Dinklage is no longer the voice of Ghost, replaced by Nolan North and that the progression system for gamers is being modified in order to rely more on classic experience points.

Update 2.0 also executes a full balance pass for all the weapons included in the social shooter, with Bungie saying that it wants to make sure that more of them are used, depending on the situation and the character customization.

Destiny is getting The Taken King next week

As the 2.0 update is launched, gamers will also be able to head to the Crucible in order to get access to some of the content that will be added in the content, a preview that shows them the variety that will be coming to the shooter.

The Taken King will be offered on all platforms on September 15, and gamers who pick it up on the PlayStation 4, and the PS3 will get some extra content.

Players will be able to take part in new battles aboard a dreadnought, and a range of enemies and equipment is also included to make their characters more powerful.

A new Court of Oryx event allows the community to work in groups to take out bosses in order to chase better rewards.

The King's Fall raid, which will offer Oryx as the final boss, will be launched on September 18, with gamers able to spend the three days before preparing their characters to tackle the toughest fight in the history of the shooter.
