Bungie might have delivered a major free content drop for gamers last week, but Bungie is not resting on its laurels and is announcing that it is planning to launch a new edition of the Iron Banner game mode on Tuesday, April 26 at 10 AM Pacific Time, with gamers set to get access to a new version that introduces more rewards.

Those interested in the experience will be able to play the Clash game type until May 2, and the official site features Jeremiah Pieschl, a designer working on the game, explaining that the studio is adding some cool gear that gamers can earn.

He adds, "Iron Banner gear will now have a chance to drop after every match you play - no more waiting until Rank 2. Given that many players spend more time playing at lower ranks due to the tempered mechanic, it was important to make sure those earlier games were rewarding as well."

Bungie also says that the April update solved an issue that made it difficult for some players to get the rewards they were entitled to after playing Iron Banner.

The studio also says Iron Domination now requires the player to complete a match with a personal score of 1500 while Iron Versatility requires seven Heavy weapon kills to get a reward.

A new Destiny experience might be launched on September 20

Bungie says that the revamped Prison of Elders has been a popular mode since the April update was launched, with gamers that completed the new Challenge of Elders reaching a total score of 110,320,117,930 points.

The community is mostly satisfied with the new content, and the gameplay tweaks that were part of the new content drop and Bungie has said that it will continue to improve the game via smaller patches in the coming weeks and months.

A rumor is claiming that the paid expansion that Destiny is set to get during this year will be launched on September 20, the same month when the development team and Activision also launched The Taken King.

According to Bungie, the plan is to offer some interesting new tweaks to the core feature of the social shooter while most of the resources of the company are dedicated to the development of a full sequel that will be offered on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 in 2017.
