The final live stream for the coming major April update for Destiny is offering information about the way the development team at Bungie is trying to improve the Crucible and the sandbox experience for all those who have picked up The Taken King expansion for the title.

A tweak that will affect all those involved is an extension of the time needed for a revival in Trials of Osiris, with gamers able to execute the move in seven and now five seconds when a teammate goes down first, with another seven seconds tacked on each time after that.

Bungie explains, “We want to make it risk vs rewards to resurrection. Overshields are less powerful and distance will be taken into account, so players will need to be closer when reviving. It will also take players longer to revive.”

Iron Banner drops in Destiny are being changed significantly in order to make sure that players get better Rank 3 and Rank 5 rewards, with guaranteed Artifact and Ghost drops at 320 Light and 335 Light Drops for the biggest rewards packages.

The highest level weapons and armor can be also be obtained from a chest on Mercury and from the Trials of Osiris by those who take part weekly and a way to get solid loot from Activities.

Destiny is also getting ammo changes

Iron Banner rewards will include two new items called Too Idle and Too Ready, and all special ammo is set to come into the match later so that gamers will have to be more careful when choosing their weapons.

Bungie also says projectiles will be better when it comes to tracking and that sniper rifles should now be used only for long-range engagements because their zoom capabilities have been tweaked and their accuracy improved over distance.

Auto rifles in Destiny have a higher rate of fire and slightly reduced damage, and a lower rate of fire is associated with pulse rifles with increased base damage.

Hand cannons have more ammo whereas and fusion rifles have a stability increase, and Bungie is aiming to make sure that the community uses a wider range of Exotics in Player versus Player engagements.

The studio is also working on bring some changes to the Warlock class in Destiny to bring them more in line with the rest and make sure that gamers try out what each has to offer.

Destiny is getting access to the free update, which also adds a strike and mission, on April 12.
