Destiny fans are eagerly awaiting the delivery of the November update for the social shooter, and the development team at Bungie is ready to offer more information about the tweaks that it plans to make when the patch arrives later in the month.

The long-awaited final fix for Nightstalkers will be part of the patch and will allow characters to once again use the Quiver perk, with three Shadowshots available to the player but without the initial bonus that made the ability game breaking.

In the coming Destiny update, gamers will also get access to more items from Shaxx, who will allow gamers to buy three Legendary swords from the NPC after they have completed the Blademaster quest chain.

More changes will be revealed when the company offers a full list of patch notes, presumably on the day of deployment.

Bungie also acknowledges that the November patch will contain hints at the way the studio plans to celebrate the coming holiday season in the shooter, including a new Refer-a-Friend feature.

The official weekly update explains that "Maybe you have a friend who will be getting Destiny as a gift this season. Perhaps their gift-giver will even be picking it up for them at a holiday sale coming to a store near you. If you intend to show them the way to the mountaintop, we’ll have new rewards aimed at recognizing your service to the Kinderguardian."

Bungie is not talking about the launch date for the November update of the social shooter, but it will apparently be delivered before the end of next week, with Wednesday the most likely day for deployment.

The shooter has been down for maintenance for three hours today to update the underlying infrastructure.

Iron Banner will be re-introduced next week

Clash is coming as the new game mode, allowing gamers to focus on simply taking out enemies rather than on trying to control territory.

Derek Carroll, a senior designer working on Iron Banner, says that he expects less Super usage but that teamwork will remain very important for those groups of players who seek to dominate the battlefield.

Bungie is also tweaking the reward system associated with the mode, with an increase in the reputation delivered and artifacts offered in a rank-three reward package while ghost shells are introduced for a rank 5 one.

The development team says that during the recently ended Festival of the Lost event, which celebrated Halloween, more than 350 million pieces of candy were collected by the player community.

With the addition of microtransactions via the Eververse Trading Company Destiny is moving towards a new business model, which encourages gamers to spend on cosmetic items in order to deliver more resources to a live events team.

According to Bungie, its members will deliver more quests and missions for free in the coming months, but Activision has suggested that more paid expansions might also be launched.

Rumors are also saying that a full sequel for Destiny is in development and that it is planned to arrive on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 before the end of 2016.
