Video game developer Bungie is announcing that it is getting ready for a new installment of the Bungie Bounty event in Destiny, which allows members of the community to enter the game and battle some of the game creators. This will take place between 11 AM and 1 PM Pacific Time on Friday, April 15.

The chosen mode for the new community event is Trials of Osiris, and the official site explains that the PlayStation 4 is the chosen platform for the coming battles.

Bungie adds, "Be on the lookout for Senior Designer Derek "mantis" Carroll, who issues your weekly map selection tweet. His wingman will be PvP Engineer Nico 'Pumper' Long, who tends to the machinations of Guardian-vs-Guardian combat. Their third will be Civilian Guardian Michael Tash, who has had some interesting opinions about the way revive mechanics impact the game."

The developers are also saying that the Bungie Bounty will offer the entire community a chance to see how the April update for Destiny impacts the Trials of Osiris mode and to get some useful feedback from the player base.

A special Emblem will be offered to all those who can take out either the two developers or Michael Tash in combat.

Destiny's 2.2.0 update introduces some major changes

Bungie has introduced a new strike and an extra mission for gamers to explore and is also making big changes to the Prison of Elders mode. It is also giving gamers a wider range of activities delivering big rewards that will push Guardians to the new maximum Light level.

Destiny's resurrection mechanics have also been tweaked, and the weapons balance and class abilities have been modified to improve the overall game experience.

The community is mostly satisfied with the changes that have been made in the free April update for the game, but they will soon start to ask for even more content to explore, especially given that the two raids from year one have not been revamped.

According to publisher Activision, the plan is to deliver a new paid expansion for Destiny before the end of the year, and it's probable that a new raid and more narrative content will be introduced.

Most of the resources at Bungie are focused on a sequel to the game, which will be launched on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One at some point next year, with rumors saying that a delay has been recently implemented in order to ensure superior quality.
