Deezer music streaming service and Huawei have just announced a new partnership that will provide customers who purchase Honor smartphones with access to more than 40 million songs.

According to Huawei, all its Honor series devices launched Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North Africa, Russia and South East Asia will come preloaded with Deezer music streaming service.

“Honor customers will get the best of both worlds - Smart technology alongside the best in music and radio. With just one touch, listeners can access the largest music catalog in the world, as well as over 40,000 podcasts, radio, and audiobooks,” says Gerrit Schumann, Chief International Officer, Deezer.

Huawei's announcement arrives soon after BLU and Truecaller confirmed that all of the US-based company's smartphones would come with the latter's dialer app pre-installed.

More bloatware in our smartphones?

Although Deezer and Truecaller are both nice apps to have, the fact that they will come preloaded on millions of devices puts them on the long list of bloatware that many handset makers include in their devices these days.

Samsung is mostly known for adding lots on unnecessary apps into its Galaxy smartphones, instead of letting users decide what they want to install from Google Play Store.

It remains to be seen whether or not BLU and Huawei did some preliminary surveys among customers to find out if these apps (Deezer and Truecaller) would be of any use to them.

It's also worth mentioning that this is not the first time Deezer signs an agreement to put its app on smartphones. The music streaming service teamed up with various carriers in the past, including Orange and Vodafone, to include Deezer on some carrier-branded handsets.

We can't say the same for Truecaller, which sounds like a pretty decent app, much better than the stock Android dialer that comes with every smartphone powered by Google's mobile platforms.
