The team at From Software and publisher Bandai Namco are announcing that they are planning to deliver the new 1.04 update for the PC and the home console versions of Dark Souls 3 on Thursday, April 28, with a variety of tweaks.

Gamers can take a look at all the changes coming to the video game by clicking on the button at the end of this article. What's important to note is that the two companies are aiming to both improve the overall gameplay experience and to eliminate bugs.

There are some differences when compared to the Japanese patch notes that were revealed earlier in the week, and it still seems that From Software is not yet ready to eliminate all the performance issues that have been appearing on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC.

The official announcement explains that a downtime is required to implement all of them, which will mean that Dark Souls 3 will be down from 1 AM to 3 AM Central European Standard Time on the Sony device, from 1 AM to 7 AM CEST on the Microsoft device, and from 8 to 10 AM CEST on the PC.

On April 28, the video game will also receive a new regulation version, labeled 1.06, which will not require a downtime to be implemented.

Dark Souls 3 will get the first DLC in the fall

It's good to see the developers at From Software delivering new updates for the game at a regular pace while also listening to the feedback that the player community has been giving about the main gameplay mechanics.

The studio is also working on a new piece of downloadable content for the video game, which should be launched before the end of fall on all platforms, although until now, no information has been offered about the features that it will bring or the kind of story that it might tell.

Another DLC drop for Dark Souls 3 is planned for early 2017, with both of them covered by a Season Pass aimed at dedicated fans.

From Software has made it clear that it does not mean to deliver another title in the franchise anytime soon and that it is exploring a series of other projects, although info is not yet offered on their nature.

Fans can now contribute to the Kickstarter effort for the coming Dark Souls boardgame, which has managed to get plenty of funding and is now revealing more stretch goals.
